How does Petbnb work?

Petbnb is a platform for animal lovers. Our goal is to connect dog and cat owners with loving pet sitters in their vicinity. What could be better than having your pet cared for in a pet lover's home, where they receive personal attention in a homely environment, instead of a kennel?

At Petbnb, you can find various services, including daycare, overnight stays, home visits, dog walking, or pet sitting at your home. Pet sitting can take place either at the sitter’s home or in the owner's home. More information about the different services we offer can be found here.

Looking for a pet sitter?

Visit www.petbnb.nl/en or download the app. Create an account and complete your pet profile as thoroughly as possible. You can then search by date and location for the service you need. An overview of all our services can be found here. If you find a sitter you like, you can contact them using the orange "contact" button. Here you can send the sitter a request and then schedule a meet-and-greet. Tip: If you are looking for a last-minute sitter, we recommend sending your request to multiple sitters to increase your chances of finding a match.

Want to become a pet sitter?

Sign up and complete all the steps to become a sitter. You can do this via the app or the website at www.petbnb.nl/en. In the top right corner, you will find "become a sitter." You will then receive online training with various tips, and you can specify your preferences regarding breeds, sizes, and ages of pets you are willing or not willing to sit for. Additionally, you will write a brief introduction about yourself, explaining why you want to be a sitter, along with some photos. Your sitter advertisement will be ready to go online! Eventually, you will receive requests from different pet owners to care for their pets. Tip: Keep your calendar up to date. This way, you won’t receive requests for dates when you are unavailable. Enjoy your pet sitting!

The role of Petbnb

Petbnb is a freelance marketplace for pet lovers. This means that all arrangements are made between the owner and the sitter. Of course, we as a company assist where possible, but many things you will need to arrange yourself. As a sitter, you are independent and responsible for your own bookings and communication with clients. In the event of a dispute, Petbnb acts as a mediator and we always ask you to first contact the owner and try to come to a solution together. If something happens to the pet while you are sitting, it is crucial to inform the owner first and come to a solution together. This also applies if you as a sitter can no longer care for a pet and need to cancel unexpectedly.

It is also up to the owner to find a suitable sitter on our platform. This way, you can find someone who suits you and your pet. We can always offer advice, but ultimately it is up to you to find the perfect sitter for your pet and make arrangements with the sitter.
