Can I book a sitter last minute?

It is definitely possible to book a sitter a day in advance. Sometimes, you might suddenly need a sitter, and a sitter can indicate in their listing whether they are open to receiving last-minute requests.

Please note: Petbnb does not provide sitters’ phone numbers on the platform due to privacy regulations. Petbnb exists to connect pet owners and sitters, but you still need to send your request through the website or app. Sitters often respond quickly, and from that point, they can share their phone number.

Pet sitting without a meet and greet

If you are looking for a last-minute sitter, please be aware that Petbnb generally advises sitters against accepting last-minute requests. With a last-minute request, there is often no opportunity for a proper meet and greet or a trial day and/or night. An experienced sitter may be able to handle a last-minute booking with an easy-going dog. However, there have been instances where it turned out not to be a match after the dog was already with the sitter. As a platform, we cannot provide guarantees in these situations. You know your pet best, and it is up to you to decide if you feel comfortable leaving your dog or cat with someone without having had a prior meet and greet.
