Cancellations by the owner

A booking is only confirmed once you have paid via iDEAL or PayPal. Until then, you can modify or cancel the request without any consequences.


How do I cancel a booking?

  1. Go to the conversation in 'Messenger'.
  2. Click on the red "Cancel" button (top right).



  • In the case of a timely cancellation, the money will be automatically refunded to the owner's account.
  • If the cancellation is made too late, the sitter may still receive (partial) payment. This depends on the cancellation policy set by your sitter.


Separate arrangements regarding cancellations can be made between the owner and the sitter. Since our sitters often care for only 1 or 2 dogs at a time, a cancellation can be quite disruptive for them. Therefore, inform a sitter as soon as possible about a (potential) cancellation. Some sitters have strict cancellation policies for boarding. Be sure to check the sitter's cancellation policy if you need to cancel at the last minute. You can find this information on the sitter's advertisement. In addition to their availability calendar, you will see the sitter's cancellation policy.
