How do you become a 5 star sitter on Petbnb?

Modified on Tue, 17 Dec at 2:15 PM

The best sitters:

  • have extensive experience caring for dogs and cats,
  • communicate quickly and clearly,
  • and go the extra mile for the pet owner and their furry friend.

Pet owners expect you to keep them updated about their pet’s activities. A daily photo or video can easily be sent via Petbnb. A 5-star review, as well as a returning guest dog, is proof that you’re doing a great job as a sitter.

The following factors influence your ranking in the search results on Petbnb:

  • Positive reviews: A five-star rating, or “five paws” as Petbnb calls it, is crucial. Other pet owners can read reviews and gain confidence in your skills as a sitter. If you have 10 reviews, you’ll receive the “Top Sitter” badge, which will be displayed on your listing.
  • Number of bookings: Great sitters have plenty of bookings. The more bookings you have, the higher your ranking on Petbnb.
  • Returning guests: Would you go back to a restaurant you weren’t impressed with? Probably not. Just like restaurants, returning guests are a key indicator of a sitter’s quality.
  • Always respond promptly: Not responding or responding slowly is frustrating for pet owners looking for a sitter. If you frequently fail to respond, even if you’re unable or unwilling to sit, we may have to deactivate your listing.
  • Bookings versus requests: If you receive many requests but rarely convert them into bookings, Petbnb may decide to remove your profile. This isn’t to be unkind, but to ensure the best possible experience on Petbnb. If you have 10 or 20 requests and only 1 booking, many pet owners have sent requests in vain, which isn’t a good experience. Of course, we always take individual circumstances into account.
